چکیده

Two different methods are proposed to optimize the operations of the electricity transmission and distribution systems. In the first method new criticality importance measures are developed in order to determine the relative importance of each individual component within the system. The second method is a combined dynamic programming and integer programming replacement analysis method to obtain optimal system-level component replacement schedules with the objective of minimizing the total Net Present Value of unmet demand, maintenance and purchase costs over a finite horizon planning.

Evaluation of Electricity Demand Management Policies: Behavioral Economics Approach 

Electricity consumption has been rising with an average annual growth of 7% in Iran and the imbalance in production and consumption has caused power outage crisis and economic losses. More than 50% of peak electricity demand is related to the household sector, so the household sector can be considered as the most effective component of the electricity crisis. Investment costs for the constructi...

A New Method for Considering Distribution Systems in Voltage Stability Studies

In methods presented to calculate the voltage collapse point, the transmission system is usually the only part of the power system that is completely modeled. Distribution systems are often replaced by aggregate load models because the use of the detailed model of distribution systems in voltage stability analysis not only increases the computation time, but also decreases the probability of co...

Electricity Load Forecasting by Combining Adaptive Neuro-fuzzy Inference System and Seasonal Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average

Nowadays, electricity load forecasting, as one of the most important areas, plays a crucial role in the economic process. What separates electricity from other commodities is the impossibility of storing it on a large scale and cost-effective construction of new power generation and distribution plants. Also, the existence of seasonality, nonlinear complexity, and ambiguity pattern in electrici...

Forcasting Electricity Losses in Transmission and Distribution Grids: System Dynamics Approach Compared to Econometric Method

In this research, the factors affecting on electricity gap were examined in the electricity industry in Iran using the system dynamics approach compared to the econometric method. In the framework of the electricity gap prediction model, simulation of energy demand were investigated as well as its supply and effective factors. Analysis of the problems with these systems was very complicated bec...
